The Challenge
No playbook. No prior cloud-native project to reference inside the bank. High regulatory standards, and the expectation that I'd own every technical decision from stack choice to production.
Approach
Chose the stack (React, Next.js, Nest.js, GraphQL), designed the infrastructure, and set up the CI/CD pipeline. The headless CMS was the business priority: marketers needed to publish without filing a ticket. Led 6 engineers through the whole thing.
Outcome
Content publishing time fell 60%. The bank shipped its first cloud-native platform. The CI/CD pipeline removed manual deployment steps, and the architecture became the template for the next project.
Key Highlights
- Ran the bank's first cloud-native project end to end: stack selection, infrastructure design, deployment, and third-party integrations
- Built a headless CMS that cut content publishing time by 60%. Marketing could publish without filing an engineering ticket
- Led a team of 6 developers throughout the project
- Built an automated CI/CD pipeline from commit to dev, stage, and production
